Venus Flytrap

The fly-catching plant. Venus flytraps (Dionaea muscipula) are carnivorous plants with jaw-like traps that snap shut when an insect triggers the tiny hairs inside. They catch flies and other small crawling or flying insects. Fascinating, compact, and perfect for a bright sunny windowsill where you can watch the traps in action.
