These RootGrowings grow lights are awesome. They are LED, so use a lot less power, but give great full spectrum results. I got an early start on my garden plant seedlings with a bank of these, and am impressed with the results. My seedlings turned into nice plants that were better than store bought when ready to be planted in my garden. I didn't notice any increase in my electricity bill either running them 24/7 for two months. These things are great.
So far I'm pretty happy with this grow light. I have it in a metal dome light with a ceramic socket, as it does seem to get pretty warm.
Before moving my jasmine outside a few days ago, I was using this bulb for it and it seemed to really do well for the couple of weeks it was under the bulb. It's quite bright, and while I don't have a light meter, the deep green and quick growth of my jasmine indicates to me that there light output is pretty good.
If you have a safe setup where the great won't be an issue, this bulb seems like a good option at a decent price.
This was the first time I used a "standard bulb" style grow light and I wasn't disappointed. The light spread is fairly tight/dense, but the intensity for the plant or two directly under it is lovely. It feels hefty and well made and is holding up to its daily use so far with no issue. It gets about as hot as a grow light usually would, but never overly hot.
A strong and consistent light source for indoor plants, especially seedlings and herbs. It runs cool and fits standard fixtures, making it a very convenient option.
I planted some basil seeds and used only this light and a heat mat to germinate and grow the seeds. The basil is growing pretty well, but early leaves are paler than usual and I'm unsure exactly what spectrum of light this bulb is delivering without using a more scientifically rigorous process. The bulb came in great condition and was easy to install and worked right away (it is very bright too, haha). I plan to continue using it and hope for a long lifespan--I'll update this review if it doesn't last long enough :)
